I had the incredible opportunity to work with Emily Schaal and build upon what began for me in Summer 2024 as a comprehensive research project for documenting bird-safe campus initiatives in map form!
The Bird Safe Campuses platform is a central hub with resources, strategies, and data to support campus bird-window collision initiatives!
This project grew out of a need to unify efforts across this unique space and prevent motivated individuals from needing to reinvent the wheel. Collaboration across campuses will not only highlight the incredible work that has been done to date, but connect groups with each other to make it easier to find campuses who are doing similar work and ensure we can work together towards our common goals.
